I realized this week that sometimes I need to look at a vehicle from another perspective. Not just from the perspective of a journalist who has driven over 100 different cars in the last two years, but from the complete perspective of someone who might actually buy this car.
I picked up 2011 Mitsubishi RVR GT 4WD in ‘Kingfisher Blue’ and I couldn’t help but get a tiny bit excited. It just looks so… aggressive, cute, rugged and sporty all at once! And for a few moments I honestly forgot that I was a journalist test-driving this compact SUV.
I absolutely love how this thing looks, and I am not alone. In just seven days, I was stopped by four different women who commented on what a great looking vehicle this was! Lets be honest ladies, for most of us, looks is one of the top three reasons we buy a car and there is nothing wrong with that.
The color is fantastic, I never thought I would like a light blue colored vehicle, however, this thing looks incredible. But color aside; it is the overall exterior styling that really gets me excited. The shark style front nose and sharp angles say that this little guy means business. Yet the small size makes it feel totally approachable and very cute.
Cross shopping in this segment and you might also look at the Nissan Juke, Suzuki SX4 and Kia Sportage. All of them look good (yes, I like how the Juke looks) but this is by far my favorite of the bunch.
Only 17 days left until the competition. I have had a bad day and know that if i want to do well, I have do work out even if i don’t want to! That is what separates the winners from the losers – right?!
Here is a great quote from Henry Ford – Ah cars and fitness – that is my life!
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” -Henry Ford
As usual, I woke up this morning at 5:50am and got ready to head to the gym to do my morning cardio. As grabbed my purse I couldn’t find my car keys – I realized that I had no car today and it was VERY cold. I really thought about going back to bed… I really did. How much easier would that be? But I remember what my goals are and how I am 100% committed to my dream. So I put on my shoes and I RAN! For those of you who know me, I hate (despise) running – but I did it. And I felt SO AMAZING for pushing myself. After work it had started to snow – big, flaky icky cold, white snow. I put on my Sorel boots, my winter jacket, a hat, grabbed my iPod and I trekked just over 12 blocks to the gym.
This is one reason why I look the way I look. We all make choices in our lives everyday. I could have made the choice to go back to bed, I could have stayed home after work and watched T.V. but I didn’t.
Do you want to loose weight? Gain muscle? Change your life? Are you willing to do what is hard to get what you want? What obstacles do you face in your life everyday that gets in your way? What do you do about them?
For 1 week, 7 days, challenge yourself! Make a hard choice EVERYDAY and see how you feel. Instead of staying under your warm covers, get up and get moving for a bit. Don’t veg out in front of the T.V. one night, play with your kids, or seduce your partner. Buy real food and cook for yourself instead of doing fast food… The list is endless.
